Everything is sorted. Reusable items can be sold or donated, repairable items and useful materials are separated in the workshop, and only the remainder goes to a registered waste transfer station for further sorting and responsible processing.

An average two-bedroom house is usually about one full day on site. Larger or fuller properties often take one to two days. It's an estimate once we've assessed the job rather than a promise made over the phone.

No. Access can be arranged through a neighbour, estate agent or solicitor. You're also welcome to stay onsite if you'd rather.

If you can pre-sort what must stay and what can go, it usually reduces both the time and the cost.

Anything obviously important is set aside and reported to you. Over the years that's included a dissertation, a birth certificate and family photographs.

Please tell us before we start if there's something of particular significance, even if you don't know where it is.

We contact you about cash and anything we believe is of high value. There is also a separate arrangement for certain high-value items.

Simple collections can sometimes be same-day or next-day. House and office clearances can often be booked within a week. Both depend on the diary, so call for today's availability.

We take household contents, furniture, garden waste, bagged and loose non-hazardous waste, and bulky items whether they work or not.

We cannot take hazardous waste, medical waste or sharps, or weapons. Paint, fridge-freezers and mattresses can cost more to process, and we'll tell you before we load them.

We don't buy contents outright. Saleable items in the property can reduce your clearance quote, and a separate consignment process may apply to unusually valuable pieces.
